At Tus Nua Care we have an ethos which is underpinned by our core and central aims and objectives for every person.

Aims & Objectives

  • To identify the emotional, social and educational needs of each individual person.
  • Assist each individual to recognise their strengths and resources.
  • Provide an environment for acceptance in which the service user may develop their own strengths
  • Recognise and develop the full potential of every person supported by our service.
  • Promote independence and self-worth
  • Dignify and support all cultural and ethnic needs and actively promote equality of opportunity
  • Maintain a safe, homely and therapeutic environment
  • Encourage personal responsibility, self-reliance and positive self-image
  • Ensure privacy at all times by having thumb turn locks on bedroom doors and for staff not to enter univited unless concerned for the service user’s safety.
  • Establish effective communication with relevant agencies and with the adult’s network of ‘significant others’.
  • Encourage each service user to realise their full potential
  • In conjunction with the adult, to construct individual Support plans with identified personal outcomes.
  • Offer regular detailed reporting to the referring agency on each individual’s progress and development.
  • Create a facilitative environment where everyone is valued and appropriately involved in decision making and planning for their futures
  • Empower individuals to become appropriately assertive and confident in the management of their own lives
